“The charm of the 19th century musical salons comes to life in a one-of-a-kind musical event… “Malia, The Neapolitan Musical Salon of the 19th century” promises to transport the audience to an era of elegance and refinement through a costume concert show conceived as a dive into the past, an immersive experience that recreates the typical atmosphere of bourgeois and noble salons in nineteenth-century Naples: a fun and refined evening with wonderful voices accompanied by violins and piano that will bring the living room to life by performing Tosti's most beautiful chamber arias and the most famous Neapolitan author songs, interspersed with waltzes and readings, all accompanied by precious historical notes on the songs and splendid direction.
The artists involved in this show, professionals who are part of the Choir of the National Academy of S. Cecilia (Bruna Tredicine, Loretta ward, Costanza Fontana and Marta Vulpi sopranos, Tiziana Pizzi and Eva Maria Ruggieri contraltos, Massimo Simeoli, Alessio Potestio and Luciano Miotto baritones/basses, Antonio Sapio tenor), they will take turns as guests in the living room to give voice to the splendid melodies, while Emilia Nigro, Gabriele Durante and Alberto Vitolo on violin, and Mirco Roverelli, Ida Iannuzzi and Tatiana Chiarini on the piano will accompany the performances, accompanied by precious historical notes by Claudia Simonetti, hostess.
