Naxes with the intention of studying, perform and disseminate the very rich repertoire of the Italian musical school.
Dal 2004 aimed precisely at this objective, the founding members made the project known and promoted “Italian sound” in Italy and abroad through concerts, master, events, conventions and conferences, for the diffusion of Italian musical culture, and specifically classical Neapolitan.
E’ the Reggio Calabria branch was then inaugurated with the first edition (2006) of the “International Musical Specialization Courses Italian Sound in the World”, which have been highly appreciated by the public and participants since the first year; along with the courses, Concerts were included in the inauguration events “Italian sound in the world” on the Italian repertoire, taught by teachers, and on 18th century Neapolitan music, with the vocal and instrumental ensembles of the association, trained by professionals from the world of music. International Musical Specialization Courses and Concerts “Italian sound in the world“, they have become, over the years, a reality of the highest level thanks to the growing quality of the training offer promoted through the high artistic value of the teachers and musicians involved.
The association was founded in the city of Reggio Calabria at the behest of its president, M° Tiziana Pizzi, who was born and raised musically in this splendid land and then bear witness to it wherever the continuation of her artistic career took her.
To pursue its institutional goals, the Association is divided into two offices: Reggio Calabria and Rome.
To date, the Reggina Domenico Scarlatti Musical Association continues its work of disseminating the Italian repertoire and training young talents, with activities always in full evolution.
