IThe method developed in over twenty years of research, puts the person at the center – singer and the development of his perceptive ability.
LThe research merged into the reference text “Lateral exercises for singing”, 2019 – Voluntary & Co.
Ithe work, conducted in a targeted and innovative way, is based on knowledge of your vocal profile, of their strengths (to be valued) and weaknesses (to be strengthened), with the aim of getting the most out of your voice, and demonstrating that the problems of vocal technique are closely connected:
– to the psychological characteristics – vowels of the person;
– to his ability to form an idea of sound;
– to his contact with the body and sensoriality.
E’ There is an original test on psycho types – vowels that was administered to hundreds of students, singing teachers and singers, which has proven to be a valid help in finding the path that allows you to exploit the full potential of your voice.
Il first reference text is preceded by a short introductory note from the soprano Donata D'Annunzio Lombardi with which the author has collaborated since 2016 within the scope of “StageDaltroCanto” and the ADALO Academy in whose masterclasses the author herself offers them “lateral exercises”.

This first meeting will take place over two days, combining the presentation of the work with practical exercise sessions.
The following meetings will take place in May and June; at the end of the vocal technique course, a final concert will be held by the students with the release of a certificate of participation.

Practical training sessions, for opera and modern singers
Morning: Illustration of the founding concepts of the Lateral Exercises
Psychological test – vocal (carried out collectively), Questions and answers
Afternoon: Individual or small group exercises according to the number of participants.
Each participant will bring two songs of their choice, in which we will work in particular on the main technical and executive elements: note acute, register passage, vocal registers, breathing, concentration, emotionality, etc.
For the practical exercises on Sunday, each participant must bring a mat and a pen.
Beyond the technical and musical study, during the lessons the exercises will focus on the following topics:

Antonella Neri
HHe started studying piano at the age of five. He continued his studies at the Conservatory of Music “S. Cecilia” of Rome where she graduated under the guidance of the Maestro Carlo Bruno. She began her concert activity as a pianist at a very young age, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, activity that led to it, as well as in Italy, in numerous European countries.
PAt the same time she dedicated herself to the study of opera singing, graduating in 1995.
Dal 1997 al 2003 he took care of his preparation with Margherita Rinaldi. As a soprano, he has carried out an intense activity both in Italy and abroad in various formations with a repertoire that ranges across different eras and styles, from Opera to German Lied, to the Italian, French and Spanish chamber repertoire, to Tango-song.
E’ was awarded the “Ulysses Award” for the Italian Theatre, section “Young Protagonists”. Per “Voices from the Theater”, show dedicated to some female protagonists of the Opera, of which, as well as being the author, she was also an interpreter and editor of the musical transcriptions.
Dal 2002 al 2009, unique in Italy, held a masterclass in vocal setting and Argentine tango-canción, in Rome. For the success of the event, she was a guest on numerous television programs and was the protagonist of numerous events. To date, she is considered one of the greatest Italian experts in this repertoire.
Nin December 2003 has published the website www.cantarelopera.com dedicated to singing, to Opera and the Italian Language which has obtained a series of important recognitions.
IThe site quickly became the reference portal for singer training.
E’ curator and author on www.cantarelopera.com of the Specials section, Reviews and Interviews. She also curates the vocal technique column "Giulia responds" on the portal.
Nhe 2015, In the 2021 and in 2022 she was a member of the Critics Jury of the “Ottavio Ziino” International Opera Competition.
Nin May 2015 published the essay “Come canti? Discover your voice” ed. Out Orpheus.
Ithe book, fruit of 15 years of in-depth study of vocal technique, was presented at the e-Campus University of Rome in June 2015 and at the “F. Cilea” in Reggio Calabria in July 2015.
DFor many years he has dedicated himself to teaching and deepening vocal technique combined with the effectiveness of learning; this last theme is the privileged area of work in which she conducts constant and interdisciplinary research which has led her to the development of a method of study and approach to the "singer-system" with innovative teaching ideas which have converged in the volume "Lateral Exercises for Singing" published by Volontè & Co. In the 2019. The book immediately aroused a lot of interest and received several notable reviews, was received with unanimous acclaim from singers, teachers and students and is currently also used by teachers overseas. “Lateral exercises for singing” was presented in Milan, at MaMu – Magazzino Musica in October 2021.
Dal 2016 collaborates with “Stage DaltroCanto” and the ADALO Academy of the soprano Donata D'annunzio Lombardi..
Dal 2016 takes care of the vocal training of the Singers, the arrangement of the music and the direction of the IC Choir “Mommsen” of Rome. At the same institute he holds the professorship of piano. He is also dedicated to training youth voices.
Nhe 2023 she was a member of the Jury of the 1st International Lyric Competition of Tagliacozzo Festival.
Nin november 2023 has been published, for the Volontè publishing house & Co. “Images for Singing” – The dialogue between idea and voice”, an original work with 30 carte illustrate. She was a speaker at the International Conference "La Voce Artistica" with the theme "The role of images in the study of singing" in November 2023.
